From new build to shiprepair and refits, Thecla Bodewes Shipyards have different disciplines

In addition to all innovative activities and the construction of new vessels of Thecla Bodewes Shipyards Harlingen and Kampen, Thecla Bodewes Shipyards also carries out all types of repairs, maintenance work and conversions at the yards of Meppel and Hasselt. TB Shipyards, formerly known as Shipyards Gebr. G. & H. Bodewes Hasselt and Shipyard De Kaap Meppel are well known in ship repair and refits. Hasselt and Meppel have completely equipped workshops and slipways up till 110 meters.

Recent projects are the refit from a barge to a hopper dredger and the refit from a salvage vessel to private yacht. Key factors as professionalism, short communication lines and no nonsense are paramount. Nowadays craftsmanship is increasingly difficult to find; fewer young people choose for a job in shipbuilding industry. Therefore TB Shipyards educates her own team with young professionals;
